hey hey hey!
i'm really excited right now. just got approval to send four kids and a teacher from emeryville to the YPN conference...the city is paying! this means more students from richmond get to go to the conference too! 15 in all.
things continue to build momentum at great speed with the YPN. students are winning awards, presenting at conferences, writing passionate poetry...and participating in the planning process in their cities all at the same time. it's beautiful. students calling me to have bake sales to raise money, planners writing me to mentor students...so many good things.
those are my news for today. and to top it all off, check out the kick-ass conference logo that was created in partnership with a young planner / graphic designer. the best!
holla,
alis
