it's a new day

hey folks,

The past few days have been whoppers. today was another heavy hitter. i finally realized that i just need to give up the studies a little bit this semester to take advantage of the incredible opportunities presenting themselves to me right now. i am amidst an amazing set of resources to draw from - business students, law students, social work and policy - people have some good experience, and they are in a time of willingness to give.

Yesterday, i was presented with the opportunity to incubate the Young Planners Network within the CC&S. Not only are they going to be the local YPN Bay Area sponsor, but they are going to help me get a planning grant for this work. Today, I also had a 2 hour meeting with the ED of this California Center...

The moral of the story, is that I am suddenly incorporating with my East-Coast counterpart to become a consultant. Then, I will turn my efforts towards this YPN non-prof status. thick plot, lots of action, no time for lunch even. but it's all good. I am feeling alive, and well, with time for dinner and drinks with old friends.

so, much love to all. i'm thinking about you while all this is happening. it's a new year, it's a new day, and although i understand the ups and downs come hand-in-hand, i'm feelin' good and appreciative right now with all that surrounds me.

here are some pics from tilden yesterday. hiking in the clouds, trying to find some clarity, as usual.

beijos,
alis
