home is where the heart is

hey everybody,

just got back from a beautiful day in connecticut with megan, adge, and seth (meg's bro). up there, we sunned, gossiped, swam in candlewood lake, and went on a super-duper long hike, which i wish i'd brought my camera on to share with y'all.

reflecting back before i head to cali tomorrow...

i think my recent postings have been super-sappy and sentimental because this trip has been different from other ones so far. being less busy with distracting work, drama, etc. has allowed me to spend true time with those i love. in some ways, it has been my best trip back to NY. the rubix cube has been solved for now, and all of the colors are neatly on their sides.

but...spending so much good time with those i love makes me scared to go back to cali! it feels so good to be around people that know you, care about you, have been with you for 20 years or more! laughing today on the dock about crazily inappropriate comments was so good for the soul (even if water, fruit, ice cream was poorly swallowed and up my nose).

i'm going back to a life that's slowly developing - one year under the belt. it takes time, strength, and trust to live on my own...and friends! so if you think of me, read something on the blog that makes you smile, or just feel lonely yourself, then drop me a line, a call, or a visit. i'll be waiting in the sunny hills of oakland, with smiles, love, and a futon...
