hey everyone,
today i went to the marin headlands with my friend avery. i have been working very hard writing a grant proposal for the YPN and decided today that i needed a mini-break. i've successfully forgotten all about my work!
hiking was beautiful. we took trails up and down the hills, and talked about native species versus the downtrodden invasive ones...poor eucalyptus...and saw the beach from afar. there is no access directly to the water because of the oil spill, and although the ocean looked very clear to me, there's a lot to be cleaned up, and apparently volunteers are not allowed to do it.
