it's been 4 years since i last visited santa fe. that new years eve, we got lost walking the streets at night. trying to find our way into the new year.

since then, times have changed. i've moved across the country, come to call myself a planner, and begun this whirlwind of travel that keeps taking me back to places and people who feel like home. we may change, but our hearts stay the same.

justin and eliza have bought a house, made it pretty, gotten married, and yet being with them is just like it always has been - sharing music, hiding from the cat, joking around, doing yoga, cooking, and hiking. we even snowshoed together.

santa fe is an amazing place. it feels like the wild west, thin air, sunny cold winds, long expanses of desert and sage, people wandering. those 2 days felt like a well-needed vacation.

to good friends, old and new, who make your heart feel at home. even when you aren't sure where that is anymore.
