change

it's time for change in these here parts...i can feel it coming, riding the airwaves into my apartment, battles in the streets over measures, props, and candidates.

recently, i've been changing too. back to real life with time for things...i've been back to yoga three times this week, and it's so good for the body and the soul. i go in with preconceptions, and leave sweaty, smelly, and free.

each time i go to yoga, there are 2 groups of protesters over measure 8 - the proposition to overturn the right to gay marriage. it's so sad, because all of the pro-measure 8 protesters are in high school, with some adults around to misguide them. hopefully, they are too young to vote, but i just can't believe that people teach their children to hate others, and oppress their rights in this way. someone's always trying to hold someone else down.

today, i hosted a calling party for obama. there were 3 pivotal calls made - in the same call, jme informed a disabled voter that someone can assist her in voting, and someone with a prior felon that they can vote 5 years later. marina charmed an undecided 80 year old to head downstairs in her old age home and vote for obama. sarah told a japanese refugee during wwII who lost both parents that hope is not gone. he can make a difference in this lifetime. in between, there were a million errors and repeat calls, but those 3 might have made a difference.

with tuesday coming up, i think the country is feeling in limbo. i'm hoping for obama to win this election so hard, so that we can have a little faith in our country, and in ourselves. keep your head up.
